Configure The AI

Before adding media, select the "Configure AI" button to control how strict or relaxed you'd like it to pull your selects.

Adjust The Sliders

The AI makes selects of your footage based on two categories: Technical and Aesthetic

Technical: This measures the video quality based on technical parameters and visible distortions that impact the viewing experience.

This includes assessing issues such as:

+ Noise: Visual disturbances unrelated to the actual content.

+ Artifacts: Block-like distortions typically resulting from video compression.

+ Sharpness: The clarity and detail resolution in the video; low sharpness could manifest as a general blur.

+ Focus: If the main subjects in the video are in or out of focus.

+ Motion Blur: Blurring due to the movement of objects.

+ Frame Issues: Including stalls (loss of frames leading to jumps) and jitters (shaky video due to frame misalignment).

+ Exposure: Assessing if the video is too bright (over-exposed) or too dark (under-exposed), affecting visibility.

Aesthetic: This evaluates the video based on subjective artistic and semantic qualities that contribute to its overall appeal.

It's influenced by:

+ Semantics: The clarity and appeal of the message or story conveyed by the video.

+ Composition: How well the elements in the video are arranged, including the positioning of main subjects and the balance of the scene.

You can find this info in the app by hovering over the informational "I" next to the "Configure AI" text as well.

TIP: If your footage contains lots of shake, blur, over-exposure, or grain, set the sliders at or below 50. If your footage is stable, in focus, exposed correctly, and lit well, set the sliders at or above 50. You'll be able to change this at any point as many times as needed at no additional credit cost.
